A short interview with Michael Gallagher:

What made you write a near-future sci-fi techno-thriller?

When I look for a read, I love espionage and techno-thrillers, but I don’t often find them in one book. Intel is selling Qubit chips and post-Cold War reality just …came in from the cold, again. I thought it would be fun to write a book that I would love to read.

Where did you get the idea for your second Kindle book?

The books I love challenge the boundaries of the normal world. In Diamond Rain, I wanted to explore how an ordinary guy might evolve when the woman of his imaginings handed him a mind-bending technology.

What type of reader would enjoy your brand of techno-thriller?

My writing tends to be plot driven. Dialogs that drive the story forward and reveal people growing more real in every scene wrapped up in all-encompassing technology give me a buzz. I think I get that from my love of Isaac Asimov. Readers who enjoy startling but believable technology humanized by the intervention of normal people will like Diamond Rain.
